Hi, I'm Holly! 
At the age of 17, I sadly lost my mother to cancer. During her illness, I became increasingly frustrated by the lack of information and advice about diet and nutrition offered by the medical profession. I made a commitment then to seek a wider understanding of how the right nutrition and mindset could help to improve overall health and wellbeing.

My journey began when I started studying to become a Nutritional Health Coach at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition in 2013 while working as a model, and my studies continued several years later when I consciously came off the contraceptive pill aged 21; having been taking the pill for 4 years, and my cycle didn't return for over 18 months. It then took a further 6 months for my cycle to return to a consistent, regular monthly pattern. Throughout this period of my life, I was diagnosed with stress-related eczema and dermatitis. With my hormonal imbalances that were ongoing, I began changing my lifestyle, diet and also trained in Herbal Medicine and began making my own natural products to repair my skin and prevent future flare-ups. I also implemented mindfulness strategies to manage stress, including training to become a qualified 200 Hour Yoga Teacher and implementing yoga and meditation into my life. After 2 years of consistent lifestyle changes, my cycle returned to a very regular pattern, my skin cleared up and my hormones were back in balance. I have since had a healthy baby boy, my hormones returned back to being in balance postpartum and my skin has never broken out again. 

Consistency with our lifestyle and diet is essential for our hormones to be working in harmony with each other.

There was no knowledge given to me from the medical profession to help me manage my hormonal imbalances other than suggesting I go back on the pill. I am now so passionate about sharing what I have learned to make a positive impact on women's lifestyle choices and help to bring women's hormones back in balance. This is why I founded 'The Health Zoc' in 2017 to create a community of women who want to learn more about how to take their own health into their hands and make decisions that will best serve their lives. The Health Zoc will guide you to achieve optimum health; to help you reach your goals and live a happier, more fulfilled life.
